Elk Grove is an ideal location for families who love spending time together outside. Area neighborhoods are entwined with greenbelts and parks and weekends often find them filled with families cheering for their favorite young soccer or baseball star. The area also features a 13-mile waterway perfect for fishing, walking and bird watching, in addition to two natural wildlife reserves.

Sacramento is a great central location for professional sports fans, too. For basketball fans, our city offers the excitement of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, as well as the family-friendly WNBA’s Sacramento Monarchs. Baseball fans can enjoy spring and summer evenings near the river at Raley Field, home to the Sacramento River Cats, Triple A affiliate of MLB’s nearby Oakland Athletics. And the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giant’s home fields are just a short drive away in the Bay Area.
