Mercy Lifeline

For individuals who desire the freedom of independent living - with the added security of affordable, on-call help, safety and reassurance - the Mercy Lifeline program may be the answer.

Help is Just a Push Button Away
Lifeline's Personal Help Button is a 1-inch waterproof emergency call button that may be worn around the neck or wrist, resembling a pendant or wristwatch. The button activates a small home telephone attachment, called a communicator, that is installed on the client's telephone by trained lifeline volunteers.

When the wearer presses the help button, the communicator instantly sends an alert signal to the Lifeline Call Center. A trained Lifeline Monitor responds by voice to find out what kind of help is needed. He or she will immediately call for professional help if necessary or may ask a designated neighbor, friend or relative to check in on the caller for assistance.

A Personal Connection
Lifeline users don't need to have an emergency to talk to a Lifeline Monitor. Users are encouraged to call and check in every month, just for personal contact and reassurance. Lifeline Monitors take time to get to know users' special needs and interests, so they can provide a high level of assistance and support.

Peace of Mind
Lifeline offers added security for elderly individuals who wish to continue living independently at home, as well as for those suffering from conditions such as congestive heart failure, diabetes and asthma.

The Benefits of the Affordable Lifeline System Include:

Support and peace of mind for Lifeline users and their families

Decrease in premature nursing home admissions

Decrease in premature hospital admissions

Decrease in hospital length of stays

Swift response to medical emergencies

Continued independence for users
