Therapy services for the injured worker

Our primary goal at Methodist's Outpatient Rehab Center is to assist each employee and employer in maintaining a productive and healthy workforce while managing costs. We have a professional team of physical and occupational therapists to provide treatment for work-related injuries, with the ultimate goal of returning each employee back to work as soon as possible. Our therapists provide the latest in interventions, education and self-management to help achieve maximum function and prevent re-injury.

The "work conditioning" component of our program provides functional retraining, expanding on the primary exercise instruction to include specific and simulated work activities, focusing on readiness to return to the work environment.

Our services include:

  • Pre-employment physical ability testing
  • Physical therapy and certified hand therapy evaluation and treatment
  • Work conditioning
  • Back training classes
  • Custom splint fabrication
  • Complete wound care for burns, chemical exposures, lacerations or infected sites
  • Aquatic therapy
  • On-site therapy services such as educational classes and ergonomic analysis of work sites
  • Speech pathology evaluation and treatment
