Patient Rights
At Methodist Hospital, each patient is entitled to compassionate and professionally competent care delivered with respect for individual dignity. All hospital personnel must comply with specific patient's rights. View a complete list of your patient rights.
Family Spokesperson
We ask that one family member be designated as the spokesperson who will communicate with and update the rest of the family. The staff will keep the spokesperson informed of your condition and he or she will be the person that friends and family members can call for updates. This ensures that communication with the family is consistent.

Chef Tony

Meals
Patient meal service at Methodist Hospital is provided by our Food and Nutrition Services Department along with our own Chef Tony. All meals are prepared on-site and are served at approximately the following times:
Breakfast: 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Dinner: 5 to 7 p.m.
Methodist's nutrition staff is available to review your menu selections to meet your preferences. The Registered Dietitians are also available to talk with you about meal restrictions, nutrition and after-discharge meal planning. If you are on a restricted diet, your special diet menu will be designed to meet the physician's diet prescription.
Interpreter Services
Interpreting services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for most foreign languages, as well as for the hearing impaired. To request interpreting services, please call the Nurse Staffing Office or page the Administrative Nursing Supervisor by dialing "0" after normal business hours, or ask your nurse.
Telecommunication Devices (TDD)
Methodist Hospital offers telecommunication devices (TDD) for the hearing impaired and sign language interpreters upon request. To request telecommunication devices (TDD) and/or sign language interpreter services, please call the Nursing Staffing Office.
