Meet Our Hospital President

Gene joined Methodist Hospital in April of 2011, bringing more than 35 years of healthcare experience to our facility. Throughout his career, Gene has held multiple healthcare roles with a variety of organizations, including Dignity Health's Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield where he served as the director of Ambulatory Service/Cancer Program.

Gene has served in a variety of clinically focused and operational roles at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York and Mercy Health Partners, among others. Most recently, he served as the interim chief operating officer at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Ohio and the chief operating officer and subsequently the interim chief executive officer at Jackson Health System in Florida. He is also retired from the Navy.
