Volunteering at Methodist Hospital

Volunteering is an enriching experience and one of the most rewarding ways to help your community. At Methodist Hospital and Bruceville Terrace, we believe that one person can make a profound difference in the lives of others, a belief that is shared by our volunteers. Every day, these special volunteers assist our hospital and people throughout the community.

Benefits of volunteering include: meeting new people, making new friends, developing professional contacts and gaining a sense of personal satisfaction from helping others. More importantly, volunteers are vital to our patients, visitors and staff.

Do you have time to give? We need caring, compassionate people who want to make a difference in someone's life. We offer two volunteer programs: one at Methodist Hospital and one at Bruceville Terrace.

Junior Volunteers
Junior volunteers are also welcomed at Bruceville Terrace. Young men and women ages 14 to 18 (8th through 12th grade) may volunteer in many of the
same areas as adults, as well as the Adopt-a-Grandparent program. Our Junior Volunteer program has been very successful, with a number of our volunteers graduating from college and pursuing a healthcare career. In 2004, Bruceville Terrace Teen Volunteers received the "Go Serve" Spotlight Award from the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism.
